Morning,
Last Sunday, the PI begain running quite rough - this
has happend a couple of times before, but has always
cleared up after sitting for a moment. The car has
always run like a top (even after having the entire
air intake and induction manifold off for a gasket
replacement back in May!). It has an electronic ignition
unit and I've already checked that the plugs (replaced those
a couple of months ago) and the plug wires (tried a new set
last night) are fine. I haven't removed the injectors to
verify their operation but I can definitely feel the pulses
on every injector wire with the car running - I haven't done
anything to the metering unit or the distributor (other than
visual checks).
* I don't fully understand how electronic ignition works
with the distributor - what else should I check?
* What are the symptoms of bad petrol?
TIA for any suggestions!
