Hi all, RE: the ground ring not giving a good ground. I have been successful in melting a drop of solder on the ring to the tab that grounds the lamp. A little hit with the dremel before to get a clean surface, and a little bit of solder ' sculpting' after it cools and I have been able to re-use defective - thrown away junk pieces. So far I have done this fix on the '71 Stag, the 250, and the TR3 I rewired back in January. Hugh R. McAleer Jonesboro, GA '68 TR 250, '71 Stag '73 Stag 75 TR7 Victory Edition - 4 Sale! |
