This stuff is harder than h**l to find. If anyone comes up with a source
for (something close to) the real thing, please let me know, too.

There were two types of beading used on the TR2. One is as you describe.
The other is a bit bigger and a bit flatter in cross-section. A passable
reproduction of this second type is available from TRF, though only in grey
(they expect you to paint it). I've also seen beading similar to the second
type at specialty trim shops, in a couple of common colors.

I believe it wasn't. As far as I know the front beading was fitted only at
the joints between the wings and the front apron and between the wings and
the front bulkhead. This differs from the TR3, where the (metal) beading
extends the whole length of the wing.
