Fan belt hell, how about the crank pulley? One dark morning in the middle of
the night I was leaving work after a LONG session of raytracing for a, um,
demanding client and missed a kerb. The resulting whack sent the fan into the
radiator and the crank pulley into the front cross tube, cracking a piece out
of the crank pulley.

Getting the cross tube out was wasy; getting it back in was a female canine of
a job.

And it all had to be done in the parking lot of a high-security area of a
National Laboratory. "Tow truck? Waaal, I dunno, has the driver got a Q
Clearance?"
