Don't forget to check for wear in the pedal-to-pushrod linkage.
The hole gets to be a pretty long oval over time, and the lever 
arm length is quite short at this point, so any play here can
be very significantly amplified at the pedal.  This problem 
_will_ manifest itself in a clutch that engages too far down.
