Good tip!  Of course, I always started the car with the clutch in.
Why?  I didn't want to put the extra wear on the starter.  Why should
the starter have to turn the trans over as well as the engine?  I also
figured that oil pressure would come up faster without the load of the
spinning trans.  Drat.  Now I have to choose...  I think I'll start
the car with my foot off the clutch.  Starters are much easier to
replace than thrust washers.  I know, I've done both... :-)
