This weekend, I installed (among other things) both Rotoflex couplings in
a 72 GT6, using the unorthodox easy method. This doesn't involve
separating the hubs, so it can save some time/discomfort. Also you avoid
removing the roadspring, lower wishbone, and brake hydraulics.
I posted this method a month or so ago, but I just have one thing
to append. Soak the new Rotoflex couplings in hot water before
prising them over the outer axles. This makes things go much faster and
easier. The whole job (Rotoflex and U-joint replacement) probably took 4
hours per side.
