Sean, I'm not sure, but it sounds like you have at least admitted that the bore centers on the 260 and 289 (and 221, 225, 302, and 351W, for that matter) are the same. If the 260 was different, you couldn't put a HiPo 271 cam in the 260 per the LAT option, right? Or any nominal 289 camshaft in a 260 for that matter. How many people out there have 289 camshafts in their 260's? At this point I would say QED. Now quick, before more guys like Ray start going off half-cocked, fess up. ;-) Bob - |
