Stu, when I suggested that you use oil, I was not kidding, as this has
been used by restorer for years.
As you mentioned, it comes out, but at the places that water goes in.
Because it is so viscous, as opposed to normal rust proofing, it flows
into places that you want it to, and as opposed to rust proofing, and
will not form a layer, where the water can get between the rust proofing
and metal.
Price and avaliability are also pretty good.
