Jim,
I bought a unit from Dave's Automotive Specialties in Whittier, CA.
He uses the GM OEM amplifier. I have herd far too many stories
of fancy electornic units failing. In my case he put it inside a Ford
Duraspark distributer and I use the MSD blaster coil, I used to use
a stock Ford coil for electronic ignitions, $3 at the junk yard. He also
sells a kit where he mounts the stock ford magnetic pickup in a vintage
(stock Tiger) distributer. He uses the same amplifier which is real
small and you can mount it in a hidden spot so everything looks stock.
I like the fact that I can buy the parts at any auto parts store or
any junk yard.
