The sock filters when fitted to a DCOE don't filter the air coming through 
the idle hole which might not be a big deal for a racer but for a road car 
driving on a dusty road that one time?

What you might want to do is modify the inner wing (inner fender??) so there 
is room for a deep filter and filter case.
