the ignition light switched from speedo to tach on the MKII Sprite (or
vice versa) so 1 is a Bugeye, the other is a MKII.
One should have the high beam light. (blue)

If the ign light is on, your generator and/or regulator need help.
And if you are not charging, the ignition system will die due to lack of
juice. Or the key switch could be bad.

Not uncommon. Engine size is either embossed on the block (950) or there
is an aluminum tag 1100, or 1275 on the carb side of the engine.

Metal hood pegs. And yes, they do scratch new paint when you close it.
