Original drive shaft bolts were 5/16 x 24 with flat washers and nyloc (as we
have
come to call them, there is nothing elastic about them if you ask me) But Never
use a split washer with a lock (nyloc or elastic) nut. And Never reuse a nyloc
where the possibility of loosening may ruin your day. Grade 5 western world made
bolts with NEW locknuts are much cheaper than suspension or drive train parts
falling off your car.
