Fred, Fred, Fred...

The Sprite Mk2 was introduced a month before the Midget Mk1. Sprites are
the real deal. OK, the two are the same car except for all that tacky
chrome on the Midgets. I personally could never own a Midget; it would just
be too confusing. My nickname for my wife is "Midget" because she's one of
the few people who is shorter than me!

Actually, as many on the list know, the back end of the spridget body was
designed by BMC/MG, while the front end was designed by Healey. The two
cars of course were manufactured by BMC at the MG Abingdon works on
side-by-side assembly lines. I've always thought that the front was very
curvy and evoked a 50s response, while the back, with it's straighter
lines, was 60s all the way.
