Well:
I've been very kind to Sprite owners in the past, however I know and
they know that the Midget starting in 1961 is the same car as the
Sprite, however just like my old Olds Firenza when compared to a Chevy
Cavalier, it is a fancier, more luxurious version of the same car. The
Midget has more chrome, better interior, and superior gauges. Overall
the Sprite/Midget introduced in 1961 was a better car than the Bugeye,
especially in 1962 when the Ribcase Tranny was introduced. Bugeye
Sprites do have their charm, but God help if you ever lose anything in
the boot. The only way their owners make their car livable nowadays is
to put in Japanese transmissions and basically change the character of
the car. Something I don't have to do in my Midget MK I 109CG. But when
compared to each other, on any model, the Midget always wins on style
points.
