Evangelos,
I suspect that the PO of my car had the same problem since the rear
brackets are missing from my top. He drove the car 9 years with only the
windscreen clamps and the side bolts holding the top on. What more do you
need? I very rarely use the hard top, so it is less of an issue with me. I
clamp the windscreen fasteners first, then do the side bolts. This usually
means I don't use much force on the windscreen fasteners. Note that as with
the soft top, clamping the hard top to the wind screen goes much better if
you really pay attention to getting the front rubber piece seated correctly
before applying pressure.
