I had Giles for less than a week before I had swapped out the generator on
the Mk III with an AC/Delco unit. At that time I didn't know about
Tegler's site and instructions so I just sat down and sleuthed out what
each wire on the original harness was for, then adapted that to known good
info on the Delco unit I've worked with in the past. One of those 30
minute projects depending upon how fancy you wanted to make the bracket.
It may not be stock, but it sure is better. And I'll take reliability over
stock anyday when I'm out on the road.
