Peter,
You're not going to be able to use any electric fan that I've seen as a puller
on a Mk3 due to the water pump pulley housing, which doesnt allow the
necessary clearance for the fan to fit between the pulley and the radiator.
I've tried with an electric fan that's just 1.5" thick. I even tried mounting
the fan offset from the center to try and work around this obstacle with no
success. As far as I can tell, the only option is to mount an electric fan on
a Mk3 as a pusher, in front of the radiator.
If someone has found a reasonable way around this, please let me know, too.
Take care,

Subject: rimmers parts
I would have two questions concerning rimmers parts. the first is: what
is the differences between the standard front spring and the uprated
spring offered here
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rimmer.bat?spitfire/susp#Front has
anybody ever ordered one of them?
the second is, that there is a kenlowe fan again on the sale list and I
wonder if anybody has experiences with? is it possible to mount it as a
puller removing the standard fan in a mk3 with 16" radiator?
thanks,
peter
