Howard, I used SS brake lines of various sizes for my plumbing, but then I had
no copper tubing lying around. Paul Tegler used copper as he had it lying
around. Also when I did mine conversion I put in a new gasket (I had two - both
UK spec with the centre exhaust holes as one large one.) No leaks. Also since
I put on an SS header at the same time there's a whole lot more space
underneath the carbs to get at those bolts.
