Hmmm - I checked everything over - checked the spark plugs - black as
night - hmmmm - choke? gawd-damnit! A stuck choke! I didnt see that before!
Ive been having some problems with my carbs - in particular the choke
mechanism - ever since I dropped them (from a very small height - and they
landed dashpot first) I reckon something is bent. Or the return mechanism
isn't working.

The other thing is that it drank a lot of oil - the dip stick indicated that
it was a bit less than minimum - Im sure I only checked it yesterday and it
was 5mm over minium - and I filled it up a bit too.

Now, in my head this makes sense - it must have flooded whilst I was sitting
in traffic - and when it was running below 1500 it couldn't eat the fuel
fast enough.

Funny thing is, I don't even remember using the choke this morning.

So in a little while I shall go out and tune her up again for the millionth
time!
