Gary,

One time I heard about re-chromed bumpers being better than new ones
currently on sale was from TRGB, who replaced the front bumper and one of
the over-rider boxes for me after a speeding driver brushed across the front
of Daffy while I was pulling out of my driveway a couple of years ago. Cost
wasn't an issue (for once!) as the repair was paid for by insurance. They
used a re-chromed bumper, and it's held up OK so far! I was happy to accept
that advice, since I had heard it elsewhere as well, but I can't for the
life of me remember where - it was a few years ago now.

Richard
