Lots of wrong myths about the DCOE abound. Two 40 DCOE, even with the
smallest venturi's available, flow far more air then the most highly
reved Spitfire engine can pull. Translation? Far more carburetor then
engine, and typical lousy fuel mileage and poor lower rpm performance
when operating anywhere but on the race track. A single 40 DCOE will
perform better. Look at the Weber information for selecting venturi
sizes and you will see what I mean.
The notion that you have bad fuel distribution problems running the
single DCOE...hogwash. Yes, there is a slight effect, but that is all
it is, slight. Look at the oem manifold design for even worse air flow
characteristics, or any V8 manifold for that matter. The problem of
uneven gasoline distribution to the cylinders from running a single
Weber is vastly overblown.

I heard from a weber shop that if you have 4 inlets to the engine you

to have 2 weber 40DCOE.
But I've seen the weber comparison between 1x45DCOE and 2x40DCOE (just
don't
remember where I saw it).
So what happens if I put a single carb on it, will it run incredible
bad?
