My bootkit consists of (when it's on the road and not being torn down in
the garage, that is) :


Jumper cables
Inexpensive socket set
4-1 lighted screwdriver
Locking pliers (Vise-Grips)
Needle nose pliers with wire cutter
Slip joint pliers
Clean rags
Hand cleaner
Tow Rope (when all else fails)

That can get me out of most situations.  If I'm going anywhere extended
range, I'll pack it up with more things like extra oil, funnel, spare
spark plugs, cap, rotor, a gallon of coolant, etc.
