Alan,

Can't this be adjusted from the bonnet cones/latches?  I had a similar problem
of the bonnet hitting the the top of the bulkhead - I pulled the cones down
slightly, moved the latches to match, and no more noises.  I didn't need to go
near the overriders.

I too have an alignment problem. The bonnet hits the body just in front of the
windscreen on the drivers side. Real problem though is that I can't get to the
adjustment bolts as the lower bolt for the left front overrider just turns.
Apart from cutting into the rubber underneath to see why, is there any other
way?
Also if I have to cut in and end up making a mess, does anyone know a
replacement source for a good condition one for a 1976 spitfire?

I want to cure it before I get a respray this summer.
