I tried to get the plastic a couple of years ago, and was told it was NO
Longer Available (NLA).  I simply cut some vinyl based on the plastic I 
removed and used trim adheasive to hold it in place. 

It doesn't look quite original, and the original was truly a hard plastic,
but the vinyl doesn't look bad.
