People are going to always go off and make their own weird clubs. And people
being what they are, many of them love playing military, they are forever
trying
to include it in their clubs. So be it.
You don't have to join those clubs. You don't have to have anything to do with
them. And they don't have to have any bearing on how much you enjoy your what
you
thought was a VW. I certainly didn't give up motorcycles because of clubs like
the Hells Angels, sell my tractor because of rednecks, or leave the military
because of skin heads.
So if a bunch of folks want to go off saluting each other, pretending to be
military pilots, or whatever it is they want to do, let them; and go your own
happy way enjoying rides in your Spitfire that are not in silly military
formations and such.
If you're ever over in my part of Maryland, and just want to go riding around in
our Spitfires with no particular flight plan or formation or anything else,
other
then the joy of being in a Spitfire, driving it around, let me know. That's
what
Spitfires are about to me. Sheer joy and fun. No club will ever take that away
from me, and you shouldn't allow them to take it away from you either.
