Hi Terry
I think that by 76 the spit was using the single rail box, if this was the
case then the rear extension on the gear box had been extended to make it
the same length as the O/D unit, removing the necessity for manufacturing
two different driveshaft lengths. This is certainly the case on the
Dolomites.
