Not sure what you mean by clamshell trunk. Unless you mean the ones
that looked like the trunk was an add-on. These were the Seville
models from late '70s-early '80s.

Just checked the two sites I know that have 1/18 scale models, and
neither has any listing for Cads of that vintage.

Hi Gang.  My dad & I collect diecast models (yep, I have a Spitfire in 1/18 
by Chrono).  Dad likes the clamshell-trunk Cadillacs.  I thought they were 
from 1978 or so, but can't seem to find a photo on the internet.  Any Caddy 
fans know what this model and year are?  Thanks!
