If I remember correctly, I had the same problem when I replaced my shoes. I
think it ended up being that you have to really be careful in making sure
EVERYTHING is centered up correctly. Seems that I had to just keep shoving the
whole unit around, millimeter by millimeter, before everything lined up and the
drum slid on, albeit tightly. Once it was on and had a couple of 'seating'
applications of the brakes, it all worked well. Good luck.
