Subject: Slave cylinder question

I just got the slave cylinder off Judas (79 Spitfire 1500) and took it apart

to see if I could rebuild it. The cylinder wall was nice and smooth. No pits

or nicks but I did notice the appearance of rust. It wasn't rough just rust
colored but where the piston moves that was clean, no rust color there.
There
was a little discoloration on the side of the piston though. Can this slave
cylinder be rebuilt or do I need to trash it and buy a new one? Thanks in
advance.
