rock on, kirby

that thread was extreme. I bought stuff on this list from justin wagner
only and was extremely pleased with the whole transaction. but I also
want to hear from the people who weren't pleased. even if I disagree, I
can form my own opinion and go from there. I have no problem 'outing' bad
suppliers, or even suspected bad suppliers, because like others have said,
the problem may or may not be with the customer. and it may or may not be
the supplier. the only two who _really_ know are the two parties
involved. I might still try them and make up my own mind.

I think this list, being about the spitfires, is almost by definition a
group of independant, self-reliant people. think about it--if you could
rebuild a spit, a lesser loved model of a lesser known marque, you are a
pretty solid, can-do person. therefore, I think we can trust everyone (or
almost) on this list to make up their own minds about a conflict. think
of it this way: just because x isn't happy with your friend, acquaintance,
etc., who cares? we're not sheep that are easily led. and along with
being these uber-mechanic people should come the maturity not to wade into
a fight over petty 'stuff' when it isn't important. I know y'all are
better than this, 'cause I feel like I know lots of you.

now, being the mature people we are, and loving the list support we get
(perhaps the only place to get such support) can't we all agree to, er,
get along? I like this list, and though I don't need it as much as I once
did, it is still a good list to be on. I value jim's report, and I value
others' reply.

bottom line, let's hold hands and make up (although I might take a kiss
from our female members ;-) ), and not sweat it. I believe no harm was
done by jim, so no harm, no foul. let's chill out.
