Laura - not sure how you can "resemble" a remark, although I'm sure I
could have a bit of fun trying to figure it out!  Surely you mean
resent?

But my 2p worth (English currency) - I'm sure the commission plate on my
UK '77 1500 is under the bonnet, on the left hand side.  I'd check if my
car wasn't in the garage (MOT failure - just because there's a hole in
the door sill big enough to get a fist through, they failed it) but I
think I can be fairly certain of that even without being able to check
it.  Could there be a difference in the location of the plate between UK
and US models?  Maybe because of some legal requirement in one of the
two countries?
