You can't. get one of these:
http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/page.aspx?c=&p=57809&cat=1,43411,43417&ap=1

which let you use 1/4 hex attachments. Then you get something like:
http://www.amazon.com/Makita-784000-UltraLok-16-Inch-Assortment/dp/B000244YGA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1273444235&sr=1-5
which are 1/4 hex drill bits, or this:
http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/14keylesschuckwith14hexshank.aspx
which is a 1/4 chuck with a 1/4 hex on other end, which lets you use normal
drill bits.
