I think with a little research you will find that N2 is in fact a
larger molecule. It may be a smaller atom, but when they pair up to
dance, the Nitrogens stay a bit farther away from each other. Or
something like that. Anyway, this is not really a point of much
controversy, and this is how they use membranes to separate the
nitrogen from the oxygen. Now, this is just a point of science, and
has nothing to do with your experience, or the merits of putting it
inside tires.
