I have a torch, but far prefer mechanical means to cut up car pieces. Granted,
I don't do one per month, but I have found the sawzall to be more predictable
and safer.

Another tool you can add to your arsenal is a pneumatic panel cutter. I find
the various .401 shank tools that fit impact hammers everywhere from Sears to
swap meets. A modification I have made, however, that adds precision to the
process is to use an aircraft grade rivet gun instead of the run-of-the-mill
impact hammer. The rivet hammer has an accelerating trigger that lets you
easily control the force of the impact via the frequency and strength of the
blows. Of course, it is also quite nice to be able to set solid rivets when
you're assembling things rather than cutting them up.
