A little poking about on the 'net turned up several good leads :
http://asuwlink.uwyo.edu/~metal/anodizing.html
http://www.caswellplating.com/aluminum.htm
http://www.docsmachine.com/tech/anod.html
http://www.atmpage.com/anode.html
http://www.focuser.com/atm/anodize/anodize.html

Home anodizing sounds like fun, not to mention a good way to kill yourself
if you're not careful ! The comment about wearing old clothes is right on
target, I can't even change car batteries without finding at least a pinhole
later. Also, if your skin starts feeling warm for no apparent reason, head
for a shower or a hose pronto ! Concentrated sulfuric acid can give you a
nasty burn before you even realize it's there (the warmth actually feels
kinda good, at first).
