Smokey,
I have a 50 with a passenger side mount above the step. It's welded but can't
really tell if it is a factory mount. The tires sit very well on the side of
the longer bed.

I have a 52 GMC 3/4 ton long bed that has the spare tire mount on the left
side, no cut out need on the wheel well. It came from the factory like
