Hi Mark,
The article I mentioned in SR (May 77) showed how to keep the floor
flat by notching the rear tranny mount/cross member.
I don't know what the legalities of this are, but since I'm not deriving any
revenue from it, I think I'm OK. (famous last words no doubt)
