My truck has a stock transmission hump, but I did need to trim the sheetmetal
at the junction of the floor and firewall. I used the universal engine and
transmission crossmembers available from most oletruck companies, mine are
from GSPP. I removed the stock transmission crossmember, which I believe is
necessary in almost all cases. I've toyed with the idea of modifying it by
cutting away the interfering metal, but it would still be a major pain to
work around.
