Perhaps my memory is failing but it sure seems to me that 30wt oil was the factory recommendation for the Moss box in the early 60`s. 90wt definitely defeats the synchros which are, after all, little clutches and makes them hard to shift. Most british boxes used 30wt which at the time seemed odd to me. I had serviced US cars prior to working on imports and only Chrysler used lighter oils, in some cases ATF. Don |
