I don't know if I can find either specs or i.d. info on the cam Dave Headley
(Fab-Tek) installed in my MGB. But, if it isn't already packed away for
moving, I'll take a look later today.
I run about 11:1 c.r. ( a problem during the winter when 100 octane or Cam 2
isn't available at pumps here) with a single 45 DCOE (twin 1-3/4 SU's before).
The cam in my engine is so docile it can idle at 800 rpm's. But, that isn't
good for wear. Dave says idle should be 1500. So, that's where it stays.
Right now I'm running way retarded so I can use 93 octane. Result is little
power until 3500. From there to 6000, there is tremendous pull, where it
begins to taper off until peaking at 7000, Whatever cam it is - I love it.
More later...
