Hi All,
It was a beautiful day in Massachusetts today, (well the wind
chill temp of +20 degree's was a bit cold), but inside the garage
it was 66 degree's, I cranked up the rock and roll on 100.7 FM
and gave the B a once over of things I need to do.
I pulled the front wheels off my 68 BGT for a look see, I want
to re bush it with Polyurethane bushings all around this spring.
I want a stiffer / tighter road feel, and some of the bushings are
almost shot.
I'm looking at my Moss MGB catalog (MGB-16) effective
10/1/01. On page 16 it talks of "Prothane" bushings.
It looks like about $150 in just bushings-is that right ?
What other parts do you think I'll need (or possibly need)
to replace ?
I'm planning on just driving my BGT on the road usually about
5000 miles a year- (I scrapped the cockamamie roll bar idea,
thanx everyone).
I'm going to stick with the stock shocks, on page 16 of the
Moss catalog it talks of heavy duty shock valves- would it be
wise for me to install these when I drain and refill the shocks ?
I've never been too thrilled with the OEM brakes on my B.
Would it be wise to replace the almost worn out OEM rotors
with Moss's cross-drilled & slotted rotors (586-605) with 182-225
semi metallic front pads ? I already installed braided stainless brake
hoses at all 4 corners.
