Yep, that's what I get when I turn the key... no clunking solonoid or
clicking relay (just the steady tick of the fuel pump).
I just drove 50 miles home from the racetrack (spectator this time) and
she ran beautifully 70mph and in traffic. The only out-of-the-ordinary
thing I did to her was lock everything up when a woman in a snazzy
newFord decided at the last minute that she wanted MY spot at the front
at the lights insteading sitting behind the person in her lane - very
suddenly and without indicating. The lights had just changed to red and
I was braking moderately heavily but safely to a stop.
Funny how well you judge your braking distance, isn't it. Then even
funnier when someone decides to take about 20 feet out of that distance...
grrr
BUT I DIGRESS...
So once incidence of heavy braking and sliding. Nothing else. What did
I shake loose.
I get home... get out to open the garage door.. get back in the car and
she stalls.
Turn the key... SILENCE.
I have used a hammer on everything in sight and fiddled with every wire
I could find (and every fuse).
The headlights are bright, indicators work, fuel pumps ticks, etc.
Come on guys, point me in the right direction. It is cold and I am
tired and want this fixed tonight (it is almost 7pm here now)..
Help.
