Anything more than 6500 rpm and your engine will be trash almost immediately
with a stock crank. I am sure he was talking about an 'all out' sort of
engine, not a street engine, for which a 6000 rpm limit is sensible.
The cost of making power is not insignificant - I spent around $3000 on a
turbo kit for my Fiero, and about $2000 in parts to build it the way I wanted
it, but there just isn't any other way to do it if you don't want to end up
with a 'whiz-bang'.
