I can understand that fully. I received email from a few mentioning the
possibility of using an existing fuel injection system from another auto
on the MGB.
Right now, I see this as a viable option, considering I can find a
suitably sized engine with a system I could just rip from the engine bay.
Besides, I've already sourced companies that will produce generic,
adjustable fuel injection systems for less than $1000. I would like
to
give you the chance to take $1000 of my money, my '70 MGB and give you the
opportunity to make it "BRAND NEW."

Having been immersed in the Porsche/VW arena for a short time, I realize
that there is a huge disparity between the techonology implemented between
the vehicle types. This is not to say that any one vehicle is superior,
but I have noticed that one can easily upgrade their VW/Porsche. With
aftermarket suppliers producing systems for low-buck VWs, I can't fathom
why no one has not tried to do the same for the similarly low priced MGB.
And besides, do you actually think any one organization, namely Rover
Group in this case, would actually even consider promoting, designing, or
even producing such a system. I think they are more interested in
building Range Rovers and MGFs.
Ah, well. I will make an effort to visit some local junkyards. I would
love to find a good mechanical fuel injection system on the cheap. I
would allow my '70 B to be the guinnea pig.
