Ross, First remove and clean the hazard switch. I found this to be the cause of about 2/3 of my emergency/directional troubles in my Midget. I also had to remove the turn signal switch because it needed to be lubed, it was very stiff. Besides it is easier to get the hazard switch out. The turn signal was a bit harder IMHO.
