Get your hands on an original owners manual. it has a step by step
description of top(hood) storage.
I would send you the description, but I lent my owners manual to a buddy so
he could copy something else and he's still got it. I never bothered
learning the procedure cause it only dealt with the roadster. I haven't yet
figured out how to fold the top on my GT!

Try as you will try as you may ... the instructions in the owners handbook
will not prevent scuff marks on the windows - it is inevitable and will
eventually happen!!
Regarding the GT .. try rear ending a tractor trailer at 40 mph + - this ought
to do a splendid job of removing that top from the GT and it won't scuff the
plastic windows on your roadster either!!!- BUT please remember to duck as
this endeavor could prove to be hazardous (even with a roll bar).
