Robert;
I have a Weber on my MGBGT and have the same Problem. It has that
stupid electric choke. The choke is electrically heated every time the
key is turned on. If the engine is warm , having just been running,
but off for a few minutes, the choke cools down and thinks the engine
is also cold, thus the choke comes on. I've found that starting
the engine just like a CD carb, not touching the gas petal, works every
time. If you don't touch the gas petal the choke is not set ( closed).
The reverse would also work ie : one press to the floor and hold it
there would also work .
