Hello Glenn,
Two things I noticed were the heat checking on the clutch cover (pressure
plate) which indicates that the clutch has been slipping enough to generate a
fair amount of heat. Secondly, the clutch disk itself looks oil soaked and
glazed. Is something leaking into the area? Difficult to tell from the picture
but
those would be my observations.
I have two other questions for you:
1) was the disk installed facing the correct direction?
2) what's up with the rust on the fingers of the clutch cover (pressure
plate)? Appears that moisture is getting in there.
