Stuart,

We have installed four of Skyhook's units and are about to do a fifth. They
are a superb conversion! Installation is easy and covered by a supremely
comprehensive set of instructions. There is no cutting involved. A new
fiberglass tunnel is supplied to fit the contours of the Datsun gearbox, so
minor changes to your carpet's tunnel section will be needed. The kit is so
complete that you could literally do the job on a holiday weekend when no
stores were open anywhere. The shift lever comes out in almost exactly the
same place but it does have a slightly different angle to it so the purist
will notice the difference in the cockpit. The 5th ratio is about a 20%
overdrive. Last weekend, on one of our long club trips, our member who has
one of these conversions in his TF1500 was able to cruise with all the MGBs
all day long.

I'd recommend the conversion to anyone interested in preserving his TD
engine, while still enjoying driving his TD at speed.
